Photo contest terms

Important terms

If chosen as a finalist, Alpinehikers may request a high-resolution photograph of at least 300 dpi at 3,000 pixels on the longest side, so please keep those larger files!

For a photo in which a person is recognizable, please secure a model release.

By submitting a photo, you
(i) represent and warrant that the photo is your original work created solely by yourself and does not infringe the intellectual property rights of any party;
(ii) grant to Alpinehikers and its affiliates a worldwide, royalty-free, perpetual, transferable, irrevocable, non-exclusive and fully sublicensable right and license to use, in any and all related media whether now known or hereafter devised, in perpetuity, anywhere in the world, with the right to make any and all commercial or other uses thereof, including without limitation, reproducing, editing, modifying, adapting, publishing, displaying publicly, creating derivative works from, incorporating into other works or modifying the photo and
(iii) hereby release and discharge Alpinehikers and its affiliates, officers and employees from and against any and all claims, liabilities, costs, damages and expenses of any kind arising out of or relating to the use by Alpinehikers of any photo submitted.

The prize is non-transferable and not redeemable for cash. No previously booked Alpinehikers reservations apply.

All applicable taxes are the sole responsibility of the winner. The grand prize winner will receive a form 1099 reflecting the fair market value of the prize, in this case our overhead expenses for putting together the tour (cost of hotels, meals and travel included), to be issued for the year that the tour is redeemed.
