Writer's Workshop with Christine Woodside

Many writers know that some of their best ideas come when doing something that has nothing to do with writing. Christine Woodside has found that moving on a mountain trail can deliver clarity and purpose in writing that takes much longer at sea level. This workshop is based on sessions Chris has been leading for more than a decade. She will guide you through sessions walking and observing, then writing and sketching ideas. You will also write while on a trail, discuss and share drafts with others, and gain valuable advice in your creative practices from Chris, author of Going Over the Mountain and Libertarians on the Prairie and editor-in-chief of the mountaineering journal Appalachia.

Join Christine on this 6 night writer’s workshop in the Swiss Alps.  You’ll spend the first 3 days reflecting, writing and exploring around the Haslital valley in Switzerland’s Bernese Oberland region.  This is followed by 2 nights in Zermatt, at the foot of the Matterhorn, Switzerland’s most powerful mountain.  Finish with a night in Old Town Zurich before flying home on June 2.
