Alpinehikers was founded in 1999 by Troy Haines while he was a year-round resident in the Alps – living, working and playing in Mürren. The Alps were a dream, and a revelation, and after leading our first guided tours that year, we added self-guided tours the next year. We’ve kept going from there.
Our goal is to share that dream and that love of the Alps with you, to offer the finest hiking tours available in the areas we know and love best. We keep our groups small and intimate, with guaranteed departures (our minimum size is 1 person). And, whether you travel with our guides or self-guided, you’ll benefit from our genuine excitement for the Alps and the relationships and knowledge we share from our years of personal experience.
